Persian Paradigm

With a premise of Arab terrorism taking a stronghold in Bowie at Outdoor Adventures, members of the Kent Island Sea Monkeys not only felt that it was an opportunity to fight terrorism, but felt it was our civic duty to shoot as many of those guys as we could. Coming out in force for yet another scenario produced by Lee and his folks over at OA, many members of the team took this opportunity to do their own individual part in leading the boys in blue to victory yet again. Commanding the Blue team was Senior Sea Monkeys Ruby as General and B-Ski as his XO. Commanding their own individual squads underneath them, and making “it” hit the fan all over the field for the Red team, was Upper Sea Monkey Johnson, Sea Monkey Marshall Micche, and Monkey Graham. Mike and Tom took up a squad of about 15 while Marshal took the rest of the attending Sea Monkeys; Ramsey, Dudley, and the FNG Russ, along with about 10 others to get down and dirty. Missions came on a regular basis, something that Lee had tweaked over the past few scenarios, and were completed in such a timely manner that regular orders were to just go and shoot someone wearing red. Blue dominated the entire event. Even when the General was removed for a half hour due to a misinterpretation through the referees as to which props were to be removed from the Uranium processing plant. Obviously frustrated by this event, Ruby sent the orders for everyone to snatch whatever they could find on the field that looked like a prop. By the end of the day there were three piles of “stuff” at the Blue HQ: Blue’s props, Red’s ‘relocated’ props and props that the refs missed from previous scenarios. Awards were given after the game for the team that ‘reissued’ props before anybody had the change to find them for points. Overall, the team did phenomenal. The talk in all of the rejuvenation stations, as well as the staging area in the parking lot and all the website forums, was of this crew of Blue players wearing black KISM t-shirts. Being a Captain for the Kent Island Sea Monkeys, it made me very proud to hear that. Finishing the day out, Mike Graham received Most Valuable Opponent by the Red team. That’s three awards for our team in the last three scenarios attended. Good job guys!
